It’s barely one week since we launched our Kickstarter campaign, but we’re absolutely thrilled to say that we have now reached our £4,000 fundraising target.
We wish to extend our thanks to every single person who has supported our Composeher Kickstarter campaign. Whether you pledged funding or spread the word of what we’re doing, you’ve helped to ensure we can complete this all-important step of the project.
The response has been incredible since we officially launched just one week ago. We’re so grateful and have been hugely encouraged by the amazing level of interest and amount of support we’ve received for Composeher so far.
The GSA Choir has always been about two things: providing a space for amateur music lovers from all walks of life to participate in choral music; and sharing our love for this music with new and diverse audiences – some of whom may never have attended choral performances before. As a completely voluntary group, we approach all campaigns and projects from the ground up and depend on public support for what we do. Without your help, we wouldn’t be able to take on projects such as this, and Composeher is certainly our most ambitious project to date.
Your support at this stage means we can secure access to source texts and materials which will be used in creating the brand-new music for Composeher. In keeping with our mission, these texts include writings by and about women through the 20th century to the present day.
We’re so excited for the next steps of Composeher and will be bringing you news of everything as we work towards the world premiere performance in Glasgow in May 2021.
Thank you all for your support!
